A frilly cake for Karen’s birthday.  Vanilla sponge with raspberry and vanilla buttercream filling, covered with sugarpaste in ombre frills.

Tartan Thistle Cake

A Burns’ Night cake for the Brazil Mission Trip fundraising auction.  A vanilla sponge with raspberry and vanilla filling and covered in home-made marshmallow fondant.  The tartan is hand-painted on the top using edible colours.

 

Pony Cake

A two tier fondant-covered cake for Kirsty’s 9th Birthday.  Bottom tier: chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream filling.  Top tier: lemon cake with lemon curd filling and lemon buttercream.  Pony topper represents Amber, from Killichronan,  Kirsty’s favourite pony in the whole world, and is made from home made marshmallow fondant.

Blossom Shower Cake

A vanilla sponge filled with chocolate mousse, covered in vanilla buttercream and decorated with over 110 fondant flowers!

Based on a design featured in “Cake Decorating” magazine.

Dani’s Birthday Cake

I provided the cake – lemon cake with lemon curd filling, covered in plain white fondant, and Dani designed and made the decorations (with some supervision and help).  I think she did a great job!
